Why Every Two-Wheeler Workshop Needs a BS6 CKP Tester
Diagnosing starting issues in BS6 fuel-injected bikes is one of the biggest challenges for mechanics today. In Honda’s ACG Silent Start models (Activa 6G, Shine 125, SP 125), the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor uses a multi-phase Hall Effect system. If even one phase (U, V, or W) is faulty, the scooter will refuse to start.
Testing this with a multimeter is tedious, prone to error, and risks shorting the ECU.
Our Professional BS6 CKP & ACG Sensor Tester simplifies the entire process. By plugging directly into the stator harness, it visualizes the sensor outputs via high-brightness LEDs. As you turn the wheel or engine slowly, you get an immediate visual status of the sensor’s health.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Multi-Phase Testing (U, V, W): Specifically built to test the complex 3-phase Hall IC sensors inside Honda ACG stators, alongside standard 3-wire pulse coils.
- Diagnostic LEDs:
- Red LED (Power): Confirms the tester is receiving power (9V internal battery or 12V bike battery).
- 3x Green LEDs (U, V, W Phases / Signal): Flash sequentially when the stator rotates, showing real-time sensor activity.
- Plug-and-Play Couplers: Equipped with OEM-style couplers for Honda 6-pin stator plugs and TVS 3-pin plugs, ensuring a solid, damage-free connection.
- Heavy-Duty Workshop Build: Housed in a durable, impact-resistant ABS casing with rubberized grips designed to withstand oil, grease, and garage drops.
- Dual Power Input: Operate the tester using an internal 9V battery (for portability) or connect it to the bike’s 12V battery using the included crocodile clips.
How to Use It in 4 Simple Steps:
- Locate & Disconnect: Locate the stator/CKP connector on the vehicle (usually near the engine casing) and disconnect it.
- Plug in the Tester: Use the matching coupler cable (Honda 6-pin or TVS 3-pin) to connect the tester to the stator/sensor side.
- Power ON: Switch on the tester. The Power LED will glow solid.
- Rotate & Read: Rotate the flywheel or rear wheel slowly by hand.
- Healthy Sensor: The Phase LEDs (U, V, W) will blink one-by-one in sequence.
- Faulty Sensor: If any LED stays completely OFF or stays solid ON without flashing, the CKP sensor is defective and needs replacement.
